Karlo Škorić Diplomacy. European Policy. Youth Leadership.

I am a Master's student in International Relations and Diplomacy at Libertas International University in Zagreb, with leadership experience as President of the Student Union of Libertas. I have dedicated my academic path to active participation in numerous European and regional initiatives, the promotion of student rights, the improvement of higher education, and the strengthening of democratic values.

I am the co-founder of the Libertas Talks podcast, which covers current topics in domestic and foreign policy, economics, international relations, and a range of social issues. Over four seasons, we have hosted a number of distinguished guests, from Members of the European Parliament and the Croatian Parliament, ambassadors, former heads of state and former ministers, to experts from various fields and prominent individuals from Croatian society. In May 2026, I participated in a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg as an accredited journalist, where I recorded six episodes with Croatian MEPs.

I had the opportunity to participate in prestigious projects such as the simulation of the Council of the European Union: ConSIMium in Brussels, for which I was named among the six best Croatian students. During the simulation I took on the demanding role of Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in COREPER, negotiating on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, gaining experience in high-intensity teamwork, public speaking, and diplomatic negotiations.

During my studies I was also active in the European Students' Union (ESU), where I spent two years representing the interests of Croatian students at the international level as a delegate of the Croatian Students' Council and as a member of the Quality Assurance Student Experts Pool in Higher Education (2025–2026).

I am a 2026 scholarship holder of the European Forum Alpbach, and in October 2026 I will begin the Schuman traineeship at the European Parliament Office in Croatia.

My passion for international relations and diplomacy is reflected through my engagements on panels, conferences and media appearances, where I regularly participate in discussions on the future of education, European integration, and the role of youth in society.
